Great ambiance
Awful reception. Restaurant wasn't busy and we were denied outdoor seating without a reservation. we went online to book a reservation for 15 minutes later and were told to come back in 15 minutes. we decided not to wait the 15 minutes and to sit indoor. There were quite a few outdoor tables open during our entire time dining indoors.

We love 308, probably go about 6 times a year. Service was great, food delicious. Eating lunch on deck overlooking lake, beautiful. Restaurant and food very clean. We always finish with drink down below in Chairs.
It was better than before. Generally the noise level is quite high (acoustic tiles have been added). The service was great. Prices and portions were good as well.

Overall really enjoyed the atmosphere. The stuffed mushroom special was excellent and the entrees were pretty good. It was rather slow service at a time it didn’t appear to be extremely busy. The soda was not good and it took excessive long for our waiter to come back so we could address it and even when we did we weren’t offered something else. We had to ask. However he did rectify it and was really kind about it. Not sure if it was busier than usual for that Saturday but It just seemed that the experience could have been better.

Hoped for deck seating but were directed to inside table with wide view of lake. Very pleasant! Appetizer fish tacos was quite sufficient for my entrée. Cabbage coleslaw was delicious. Husband took home portion of generous fish and chips. Waitress was helpful in mentioning choice of batter on fish and returned several times to check with us and to refill tea glasses. All in all, a great lunch at a great restaurant! We’ll return for the food and the view!
Requested at time of reservation for outside deck seating but was told when we arrived they didn’t allow reservations for outside seating which was not stated anywhere on their website. Appetizer was cold & was much smaller than the party that ordered it after my party. Took almost an hour to receive a kid’s grill cheese, a chicken sandwich & 2 burgers which also done wrong.

Overall it was good. However, it was a cool rainy day and it was cold inside, and we had to ask our waitress repeatedly for some things we had already asked for. It was a bit over crowded for my personal liking.
The four of us did not have a bad thing to say - everything was EXCELLENT.
The ONLY thing that knocks this beautiful restaurant down to good is the noise level for the diners that are elderly or hard of hearing. A sound proof room away from the bar area or better noise buffer within the small room over looking the lake

We went early to beat the crowd (before 5). By the time we left (6:30)it was so noisy we couldn't hear each other. Parking is also an issue but being early we found a close spot on the main road. Food was worth it all

We ordered eggplant rolantini for an appetizer. The eggplant was cooked perfectly and very flavorful. We split one and took the other home. I had prime rib (end cut) with butternut squash and a baked potato. My husband had baked haddock. We both enjoyed our meal and the service was excellent. We sat at a window overlooking the lake, especially nice in the summer. The bar is attached to the dining room. On a Friday night it was a bit loud and there were some large groups in the dining room. No big deal but at least on this day, not a quiet place.
All people in the party immensely enjoyed the food.
Great food, a little pricey but less expensive options are available also. A gem for the area.
