We have eaten at two different locations. Both are good. They've changed the Chicken Curry a bit, its ok, but wish it was the old way. The Bountiful restaurant is slightly different than Layton in this regard as well.

After sitting down for a nice evening meal with family, the lights went out to 10,000 people area. Taste of India staff still provided food that we ordered. We ate nicely with cell phone light over a water glass. What a great experience and the food was GREAT. Just as we finished (2hrs) lights came on.

The chicken tasted old and the garlic naan was made with garlic powder and not real garlic. Everything else was very good.
Go for the regular naan. They use a ton of garlic powder on the garlic naan. My only complaint.

We found this place through restaurants.com and keep going back. Great Indian food, in my opinion I rank this restaurant in the top 2 in the state of Utah for Indian food.
From the time we walked in, we were given just the right amount of attention. Server was super friendly and efficient. We ordered a variety including an appetizer and a naan bread. Everything was delicious

Excellent Indian food. Everything we ordered came out hot and tasted amazing. Server seemed a little knew and lost at times but it didn't hurt the overall experience. I would definitely recommend this place to a friend.

The coconut chicken korma is excellent. Their Indian tea(chai) is very good, but at $3 for one cup and no refills I was a little disappointed. We love dining here and it is a nice restaurant.

Took my wife and two children, 8 & 10, and everyone LOVED the food, full of spices, extremely flavorful. Daughter, who can be sensitive to hot/spicy food, ordered the mild chicken and loved it! A little pricey.

Food took FOREVER to arrive. Once it got there our pizza was burnt! Waitress gave us a discount, but who wants burnt pizza! We aren't talking well done, bottom of pizza crust was BLACK.

One "grill" server was very attentive and friendly but the other was almost surly. He totally ignored our 8 year old and didn't serve him and we had to ask him several times what he was serving where the other one told us right up front.
The restaurant is very nice and the service was excellent. Our server tread well that delicate line between making sure we had everything we needed and bugging us every five seconds. The food was outstanding! I was eating with my best friend and while we thought the coconut flavor could have been stronger on her coconut chicken, it was very good. The server asked how much heat I would like in my chicken tikka masala and it was perfect. The rice was flawless. We had an appetizer combo that was delicious and we each ordered a lassi (mango for me and strawberry for my friend). They were so tasty. The portions were gigantic so we both had very generous boxes to take home for lunch the next day.
Service needed to be a bit better, and shrimp over cooked. But still great food in general!

I love this locations lunch. They have a wide variety spread and it was super nice to be able to invite a bunch of friends to celebrate my best friends birthday and no have to stress over the check. They even had ipads for the kids.

I never enjoyed Indian food UNTIL I tried Taste Of India. Everything we ordered was incredible. The four of us each ordered a different entree and the chicken, lamb and beef were all delicious. Since we first found them through Restaurant.com we dine there often. We used to have to drive to Layton but now that they have opened in Bountiful we are so excited.

My only complaint is the varying degree of the spiciness of the food. My husband and I love spicey dishes, and find that the "very hot" is typically not more hot than the old version of "medium." The "medium" is usually very mild.
They were very welcoming to our three children and made it a great family eating out experience...that doesn't happen often!

Way to over priced for the quanity of food...the fish dish we had was poor, all thin sauce with like 4 tiny pieces of fish and a couple of potatoes. It was 14.99 for that...

Taste of India is a highly rated Indian restaurant, but even though the service was good, we were kind of pushed to hurry because it was a busy night. We thought the food was good, but we have had much better food at other Indian restaurants in the area. We have been spoiled by the good food offered by a smaller Indian restaurant in the area and were slightly disappointed after such great reviews from other people. The chicken coconut didn't have much of a coconut milk flavor and was too savory. The pakora didn't have many vegetables - mostly onion and a couple of small pieces of pepper. The chicken pakora had too much batter and was dry. The vegetable samosa was dry and too spicy - there wasn't enough sauce. The chicken tikka masala was okay but it was a on the tomato-y side, and I had asked for the mild and ended up with medium spice. The mango lassi was very good and so was the naan, though. We thought the food was good, but we definitely will pay more money at another Indian restaurant for higher quality of food. Sorry!
We didn't love that when we used our restaurant.com card for taste of india, the the restaurant will add the gratuity to the bill instead of letting us put our own amount. The service was below par and we normally pay a good tip, but would have paid less this time due to the not great service. They charged us $9 tip, we thought it was not worth that. The food was divine, other than I will not be getting my normal favorite (chicken tikki masala) because it just seems so dry. I wish it was prepared like the mango dish. seems more tender. Thank you for being a great local option for Indian food.

I like taste of india because I am on a very restricted diet and the restaurant is able to meet my needs. I just wish you also had brown rice because I can't eat white rice. Otherwise it would be perfect.
The food is wonderful. You can't get better Indian food in Utah. However, the service is VERY SLOW on busy nights. From the time you sit at the table to the time you get your food it is about 50-60 minuts. If you really want Indian food, it is worth the wait, but be prepared to wait.

Saw billboard that stated "Taste of India" was ranked "First in State". So, of all the restaurants we could choose to visit, we selected "Taste of India". We had been given a $50 gift card, we used $25 for our visit to "Taste of India".

One of our all time favorites, we love Taste of India. The gift certificate is a great bonus, but we would go anyway.
I really liked the idea of ipads for the kids to play on while we waited for the food. Overall, I thought it was a great place to eat. The prices were a bit high, but besides that it was great.
