Our Waitress gave great service and introduced us to the points promotio
I had the fish sandwich lunch special and it was more breading than fish.
Food is always fabulous, large portions and great and friendly service!
Sylvia is an awesome server and checked on us multiple times to ensure our glasses were filled and we had everything we needed.

printed out 6 certificates thinking I could use all 6 then realize that u may only use 1 per table per month certicates were in 5 dollars only and have to spend at least 10 dollars.... was thinking about seeing if restaurant.com would give me a refund on the other certicates until I ate there and then I thought I will use these even at only 1 certificate a month because they have a lot of things I like on the menu and a great place to eat ... believe I will keep the certificates I printed out...we had the all u can eat fish and chicken on Sunday and it was very very good
The Original Crusoe's is our go to place it we can't make up our minds on what we want to eat. Good variety.
Anthony was the server who took my to go order. I walked in and stood 4mins before he acknowledged me. WIERD because he walked over to the host stand, made eye contact, picked up a dirty plate and Still didn't say a word, walked back iver to his table and continued to have small talk. He then went to the back, came back and Finally asked if I'd been helped. He didn't really to be concerned with my presence. He brought tbe food and toom my payment which literally took him 5mins, after I initially told him everything he needed to have in order to promptly cash me out i.e rest.com certificate #, my card needs to be manually entered and a $20 bill to bring change for a tip. I was just confused because I am also a server, and just didn't appreciate the level of service. I still tipped him, but at that point i was just resdy to go home and eat.. I ordered the fried chicken dinner and my leg, and thigh were red marrow undercooked; it may be safe to assume that the breast is undercooked ad well, but I simply couldn't stomach to find out. I don't know what to do to recieve better service at Crusoes, I am a laid back well versed diner, ad well ad a good tipper. It just ruined My experience and that saddens me.

We found Crusoe's via coupon & continue to frequent the restaurant with the coupons that we find for $5+. We are coming from St. Charles and probably wouldn't come that far without the coupons. We enjoy the food & experience, though. We both had the fried chicken today. We also enjoy our commedienne waiter. We would come down for "chicken & dumplins," if we could find out when you serve them. The biscuits warm bring us back, also. We worry about crime in South City but still make the trip during the day. We're both senior citizens. Also come down for birthday meals.

Those are the nicest staff people you'd ever want to meet. Always welcoming you, and very attentive to your needs. The food is always delicious home cooking, served hot from the oven. Anything you order is going to be good and there's a wide variety.

This restaurant is always busy, but even while waiting people are talking and laughing together. This food is really good, had fried chicken and fabulous salad dressing! Jon was our waiter and as usual had great service!

service is always good, the chicken used to be our all time favorite, but it has changed..we were disappointed this time and the last time, not the same crunchy batter, we even always ask that they cook it a bit longer--still not as good ad before..
It was all good except for the frickin' christmas music, which I can't stand.
The 3 members of my family received their dinners, while mine was "forgotten". I sat for 20 minutes while my family finished eating before my SALAD (how long does it take to make) finally came out. Right when I looked at it, I noticed that it did not have the hard boiled egg in it - which is one of the reasons I order this salad. After another 10 minutes of waiting for the waitress to come around, I told her my salad was missing the egg - in which she nodded her head in agreement, stating that she noticed it when she was bringing it out. She came back another 10 minutes later with a half of an egg (I always thought you got the full egg).1. My meal was forgotten2. It came out after everyone else in my party was finished eating.3. Ingredients were missing from my meal4. Waitress knew it was wrong but did nothing to correct it until I asked5. We were not offered any kind of compensation for the blatant errors of the waitress/kitchen staff.6. I had to get my meal to go & eat it at home - but still had to pay full price for my "dining experience" at this restaurant.
Crusoe's is a great place to eat. They have employees who have been there for years, which tells us that it is also a good place to work. We usually have the same waitress and she is very nice. She checks with us just the right amount of times to see if we need anything.
I ordered my burger medium rare, it came out 1/2 well done and half shoe leather done.

We love the food and the portions are mostly more than we can eat. The only issue I have is the size of the salad I ordered. it was so small it wasn't worth the money I paid.

Going to Crusoe's is always a good gustatorial event. Server's are friendly and efficient and the food is great. Only trouble was a wayward coomputer in the kitchen.

Took my step-son and his family. They had never been to Crusoes. Total of 4 adults and 4 children. Kids all ate different items off the childrens menu . They all loved their food and ate all of what they got. Adults all ate chicken based on my recommendation. Step son and wife both agreed that the chicken was better than Hodaks, which is near to there house. Waitress was very friendly
First off we were able to use the gift certificate even though it was an evening where the restaurant was donating a portion of their proceeds to EFA. The service was fantastic. The food delicious as always.

The past two times I have ordered baked potato, the potato was warm not hot. I like my butter to melt quickly. Texture was good. The steak was very good and the broccoli was excellent.

The food at The Original Crusoe's (a.k.a. Patrick McKeane's) is consistently delicious and way surpasses my expectations. The servers - and in particular the bartenders - are always cheerful, helpful and attentive; making our whole experience at Crusoe's a pleasure. I highly recommend this restaurant to everyone looking for delicious, affordable, home-style food in a comfortable & easy going atmosphere.
OK for Bar food
We each ordered the daily special and were very disappointed with the lack of flavor. The pasta was very bland and the chicken was not very good. The only thing that made the experience good was our waitress, she was wonderful. She passed our concerns on to the kitchen but there was no contact by the management regarding our disappointment.

Very nice place that takes an active interest go having repeat customers. They have a reward program that frequent guest can earn free meals with. Excellent customer service. Unusual to find in a city the size of St. Louis.
