The food was excellent and the ambiance overlooking the people enjoying the pool was very nice.

we were greetly very warmly and offered many tables in which to sit. Soon the wait stuff came to see of we wanted drinks. Our server, was professional and knew the menu well. Food was served hot and all four meals were delicious.
We love this place. We buy nice dinners and the check is still about $57.00 with tip even after the $25. Not a bad check for 2 people. There are many restaurants in Palm Springs, but we go here because of the great value in Restaurant.com. My steak was great. My wife said salmon was a little overcooked, but she likes salmon nearly raw. Great server.
Good service. Food seems hit and miss. For example, the calamari appetizer was good and the salmon entree was good, but the swordfish entree was overcooked. They did offer to redo it, but we weren't especially interested by that point. They did comp us dessert even when we said it wasn't necessary since we already had the restaurant.com discount. They even brought a second dessert that we didn't order because our daughter kept saying she wanted cheesecake - she'd lost dessert privileges earlier in the day, but mom and dad lost this round. They have a typical kids' menu, so we ordered an appetizer and entree she would happily eat as we get tired of the chicken nugget/mac-n-cheese/cheeseburger options which aren't the healthiest.
Good was nothing to write about. Tuna poke was frozen, bolognese was bland, chicken soup was tasteless. Eating at Olive Garden would have been more satisfactory.

The pea soup was good the salmon did not care for the glaze they put on it and the vegetables were out of a freezer bag and microwaved. We were surrised to be the only patrons in this large, well appointed space. It was an eery felling, like something out of the Twilight Zone However we were served a delicious meal and enjoyed the experience.

Service was excellent even on a quite Friday before the Christmas.
I spent 5 minutes on this to get a not that said "URL" not found. I went back and checked all the boxes again and sent it. This is just for the message that we love this place, our Saturday night servers and we still paid $56 including tip. Stay in the program and we will be back.

Although service was excellent, food was absolutely horrendous. I ordered New York Steak. The first time they sent a piece of chuck steak with all fat and nerves. I sent it back. The second time was no better.

The food was excellent. The service was even better. The only thing that could be improved is there wasn’t many options to choose from on the menu. The menu listed with restaurant.com included the lunch menu which wasn’t available for dinner so my teenagers had a harder time finding something they wanted.
I have dined here many times and was always quite pleased. However, I was somewhat disappointed this time since the menu was changed (and apparently was a different menu if using Ewstaurant.com) and the service was not as good as previously.

It's not uncommon for steak to be overcooked, but they got it right to my order. Service was good and the atmosphere if fun, assuming you're into log cabins and the like.

The meal prices were within normal but having a drink was $10 and not listed so was a surprise in the end.

The food was excellent - I had the petit filet mignon with whole baby carrots and smashed potatoes. My partner had the butternut squash ravioli. We rarely finish our dinners but this time we ate everything!

Restaurant was not even 1/2 full, but service was less than good. Then there was an issue getting the bill split properly. Seems to be less options for the brunch food choices.

Do not go by the menu posted with Restaurant.com We went for the 14.95 brunch. We were charged 20.00 The eggs Benedict were dried out, fresh fruit mushy, bacon sat in grease. Selection limited. Made to order eggs were very good. Overall, not at all the quality we would have expected from Hilton, we are hhonors members. The Embassy suites buffet we had when we stayed in Oxnard was exceptional and far outdid the Hilton Palm Springs and that was complimentary with our room. Service however was exceptional!
The reason I rated the experience only a three, is that we had barely received our food when we were presented with the check. When I mentioned to the waiter that I wanted to use my restaurants.com voucher , He told me he would need my phone to take up to the front desk. I was not comfortable with giving him my phone while I was sitting out on the patio. I then had to take my phone up to the front desk myself for them to process the restaurants.com voucher. All this was before I even took my first bite of food, it was a very unusual experience. The food it's self was good but I would not dine there again.

Table was dirty and when asked if they could wipe it they handed me a napkin to put under my plate. Asked again if they could wipe it they wiped half the table. Checked menu before we went already knew what food we wanted, but when we got to restaurant the menu was not even close to the same as one online. No steak and lobster or the lamb shank we were going to order. Also once they found out we had a coupon they removed the specials literally. Instead of saying specials were not allowed with coupon they removed the specials page from the menu physically. Asked the waiter what the soup of the day was, he responded, "oh I'm fired and walked away," came back a few minutes later. Couple next to us got ice cream, and the gentleman found out that his dish was cracked because it cut his finger. Waiter responded, "it wasn't cracked just now but before."

Our server, Juan, was excellent. My wife had the steak frites, medium, and I had the filet mignon. Both were done to our asking and we both enjoyed our selections.

We had Nel for our waiter the last three years and think he is great.We dont live in Ca but stop every year when we go to Palm Springs.
Macadamia crust on the flounder was crisp throughout and the flesh was very juicy. Vegetables were crisp and well seasoned.

It was what you would expect from a hotel restaurant; the room was outdated and large with little character. The food was average; cooked well and delivered hot. The breadsticks were warm and tasty. The service was fine but not overly inviting.
Food and beverages were overpriced which is typical of restaurants in a hotel setting (captive audience).
Parking difficult unless you valet. Restaurant was basically empty. Only one more table of patrons. Food was OK. Service was attentive.

The service was good, and the salad was good. The two entrees we ordered were mediocre. The pasta was described as "tasteless", by my wife, and exactly the same description by the man at the neighboring table.

Had the breakfast buffet. Quality of food was excellent. Chef made-to-order omelet with assorted fillings including fresh shrimp. Fresh assorted melon and fruits, hot and cold cereals, hash browns, bacon and link sausage, assorted rolls and croissants, danish, etc. A bit expensive ... $19, but with coupon was a great value. Service was poor. Server brought coffee, checked once on how things were, and brought the check! Didn't remove plates, etc. when finished while enjoying coffee, which was excellent.

We were encouraged by a staff member to eat inside because of a small group having a childrens birthday lunch outside. We did but soon asked to be moved outside because inside was too warm & stuffy.We ordered and the food came quickly. The fried calamari coating was hard and was not tasty. We normally eat every bite of calamari but we left several pieces.the 2 spinach cobb salads while seemingly fine, just had little flavor and we both left half of them.
Service was not very good. Sat without menus while the service staff delivered bills to several tables around us. Ordered appetizer that was not prepared as the menu suggested. When pointed out was told the chef forgot to provide the correct ingredients.

There were only two other tables being served on a Sat night. The "Grilled Shrimp" was not grilled, the brocolni was not sautéed as described by our server (was steamed) and the risotto was mushy. The waitress was kind enough to take the shrimp back to be grilled AFTER my hubby and I each had already eaten one (bland) piece. I did not eat my sides. He thought the Teriyaki salmon was bland, but sides were okay. Very disappointing meals, especially for a Hilton.

the best fries fries in the world - skinny fries with garlic ! Generous pours of really good house wines. Flavourful steak, and a entree sized ceasar salad came wi. dinner PLUS dessert. I had a wonderful creme kahlua cake :)

The food was just not good. The steak was overlooked and had to be sent back. My pasta with chicken had a grand total of 3 small chunks of chicken, and just didn't have a good flavor.

We arrived for lunch around 1:20 after a matinee. Our initial greeting was "the air conditioner will be turned off at 2:00". The restaurant was empty except for 3 businessmen at a distance table. Our server seemed very put off that we were there. But after giving our order he seemed to warm up. The food was excellent and the lemonade was fresh squeezed and endless!
The service was very slow and there was practically no one there about 9pm Saturday night. Maybe two other groups. Food was mediocre at best.

Restaurant has just been renovated-it is very dark(grey and black) no table cloth or place mats - silverware just rolled in a napkin no flowers-when items are priced from mid $20 to mid $30 it should look nicer-they now have a special added to the menu for 2 at $20 per person and that cannot be part of our restaurant discount certificate. A la carte items are $8 to $12 more per person. They only had 2 tables occupied and now I know why. We will not go back.
the medjool dates with goat cheese wrappped in bacon for an app. were OUTSTANDING. Ceasar Salad had fresh homemade dressing and a peppermill was promptly bought ! The steak was flavorful, and the garlic/parmesan fries the BEST I've had in my LIFE !!!!!! They are crave-able ! Best of all, the salad or soup AND the dessert are included in the entree cost, and the chocolate ice cream was "to die for" !!!!! Mondavi house wines only $5 for a very generous pour !

The service was impeccable, ambience very nice, and surprised to have such a great experience in a major hotel chain restaurant. The Filet Mignon with Cabernet Sauce was cooked to perfection with asparagus and wild rice that were a perfect complements! The Baby Greens with Pomegranate Strawberry Dressing topped with Grilled Wild Salmon was a meal unto itself but I couldn't resist tasting a few bites of my husband's tender and delicious Filet Mignon!!! We will definitely return to the Terrace Restaurant for another meal, maybe the fish tacos and homemade desserts that we didn't have any room for :)

We celebrated our 48th anniversary at the restaurant. We stayed at the hotel for 9 days and ate breakfast every day at the restaurant. The breakfasts were very good and the dinner was outstanding.

As locals to the desert, it's always nice to try something new. When I saw that the Terrace restaurant was in the Hilton, I figured why not give it a try? We went and were pleasantly surprised. The wait staff and the hostess were all so nice and made our experience a great one. The food was fantastic and exactly what we were looking for. We will definitely be going back; we will be telling our friends and family to do the same.

Our waitress was really warm. Not so much the hostess which sadly is the first impression to the house.In my case did not influence as I know this restaurant but it could be corrected.
there didn't seem to be any trained waitstaff on duty (this was lunch time). The hostess' name tag said she was the asst. restaurant manager but she spent most of her time talking to the people at another table (frineds ?). the bill was wrong and we had to point out the description on the menu to get an extra charge removed
The lamb was not to my liking - much too fatty and a bit slimy. However, the vegetables were delicious. And, my husband raved about his burger. The service was good, though, so it all evens out.

We have stayed at/eaten at MANY Hiltons around the world. This was the most disappointing:1. The "TERRACE restaurant" is actually a very small, dark (no windows or natural light) room that had only about 12-15 tables--no atmosphere at all; 2. The server warned us that if we wanted to order seafood, we'd better do it before noon, since cooks changed then; 3. My husband ordered rack of lamb medium rare--it was medium-well done; 4. I ordered the seafood fettucini (based on the server's recommendation. There were four shrimp and three of the absolute WORST scallops I have ever tasted!!! And I love scallops; 5. I had to get up and go to the host's station to ask for our check--I interrupted him reading the newspaper! This was anything but a good deal--we ended up paying a lot more than we could have had at Dennys's down the street--and we certainly would have had a better experience there!!!

we ordered seared scallop which comes with pasta. The pasta and scallop tasted like they were blanched in hot water and a sauce were poured over it. I tasted sand in my scallop so I assume they were not washed well. The soup and salad was okay, so was the ice cream/sorbet dessert.

This is the best bang for the buck in Palm Springs. Everyone was happy with their meal and the price was really right. Very wide menu: all the way from steak and lobster to pepperoni pizza. Strong reccomendation.

A can of soda for $3.50, no refills, and the can delivered to the table. tacky. Their breakfast menu looks great, but RESTAURANT.com doesn't offer a certificate for breakfast. oh well.
Pot roast was most tender beef I've ever had; wine and martini sizes and prices are very attractive.
Server did not speak very good english. Food was great, but it was hard to ask questions about the items when he could not understand our questions and we could barely understand his responses.
We are Hilton honors members waiter wash impatient couldn't. Understand. Steak was burned took back with rest of plate. Brought back wrong order with steak hurried waited didn't listen. We've. Ben there twice before and had wonderful service not this time. Even dessert was limitedl. Definitely not a good experience.

Forgot half of the ingredients for my Taco salad, no beans,had to ask twice for lemons, coffee server had to be asked to refill our coffee so got one cup with dinner and one cup with desert.

If we lived in the area we would make The Terrace one of our favorite's to visit on a regular basis. Everything was perfect.
They didn't seem too thrilled that we had a coupon and we felt the other people were given more attention because they were not using coupons. The manager on duty seemed rather annoyed and gave us a dirty look when the waiter gave him the coupon. Made us feel very awkward.
